What to expect
Level 4 is for experienced canyoneers. This is a full-day route through one of Madeira's most demanding ribeiras: longer rappels, exposed sections, and terrain that requires technical confidence and physical endurance.
This is not an activity to attempt without prior experience. We need to understand your background before confirming a spot. That's not gatekeeping. It's honest risk management. If you've completed Level 3 and want the full version of Madeira's canyon landscape, this is it.
Expect a committed day. Sections that require genuine rope technique. A canyon that goes places most people will never see.

Prior completion of Canyoning Level 3 with Remote Madeira (or equivalent documented experience) is required. Marcos will assess your background via WhatsApp before confirming your spot.
The terrain requires a personal conversation before booking. Marcos needs to understand your experience, physical condition, and group composition to plan the route safely.
Plan for approximately 4–5 hours of action time in the canyon, plus transport. Departure is at 8:00 from Funchal. Bring water and a snack.
