Rock Climbing

Natural volcanic rock · Atlantic views · Lead climbing and top rope · Max 4 people

What to expect

Madeira's geology makes for exceptional natural climbing. The basalt rock formations offer a variety of sport routes for lead climbing and top rope, from short beginner-friendly lines to advanced grades with views stretching over the Atlantic.

The group is small by design. Minimum 2, maximum 4. Rock climbing with 4 people is a different experience from a large group: more attention, better pacing, and the kind of day that stays with you. If you've never climbed before, we start from the beginning. If you have experience and want to push grades, tell us when you get in touch.

This is a WhatsApp-only activity so Marcos can plan the right route for your group before you arrive.
