Straight answers to the questions we hear most often.
Booking & Payment
Coasteering and Canyoning Level 2 can be booked directly online via Stripe. For Canyoning Levels 3 and 4 and Rock Climbing, contact us on WhatsApp at +351 961 280 511. We'll confirm availability and details with you directly.
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the activity. After that, no refund is issued. If we cancel the activity due to weather or safety conditions, you receive a full refund or can reschedule at no extra cost.
For standard bookings, payment confirmation from Stripe serves as your receipt. If you need a formal invoice, get in touch before making your payment — in some cases it's also possible to pay directly to the company account.
For Coasteering and Canyoning Level 2, online payment in advance confirms your spot. That said, if you prefer to pay on the day in cash, by card, or via bank transfer, message us first — a deposit will be required to hold your reservation. For WhatsApp bookings, payment details are arranged directly with Marcos.
We monitor conditions closely. If it's not safe to run the activity, we contact you in advance and reschedule or issue a full refund. We won't run an activity in conditions that compromise safety, even if it means cancelling.
Activities
Remote Madeira is the only operator in Madeira that includes a boat and a slackline over the ocean in the coasteering experience. The boat gives access to sea caves and cliff sections that are completely unreachable on foot. No other company offers this combination.
No. Both Coasteering and Canyoning Level 2 are designed for people with zero prior experience. You'll receive a full briefing, all equipment, and guidance throughout. If you can swim, you can do coasteering.
Level 2 is the entry point, designed for first-timers, technically real but accessible. Level 3 is longer, more demanding, and requires prior canyon experience. Level 4 is a full-day technical route requiring solid canyon background and physical fitness. We ask about your experience before confirming Levels 3 and 4.
Coasteering and Canyoning Level 2: minimum 8 years (accompanied by an adult). Canyoning Level 3: minimum 16 years. Canyoning Level 4: minimum 18 years. Rock Climbing: minimum 8 years with a parent or guardian.
Coasteering: approximately 2–3 hours (around 2 hours of action time in the water). Canyoning Level 2: approximately 2 hours. Canyoning Level 3: approximately 3 hours. Canyoning Level 4: approximately 4–5 hours. Rock Climbing: approximately 4–5 hours. These are estimates; pace depends on the group.
