Rappels up to 60m · 9–10 waterfall descents · More demanding terrain · A half-day canyon in Madeira
Level 3 is a technical step up from Level 2. The canyon features 9–10 waterfall descents with rappels reaching up to 60 metres. You'll spend around 3 hours inside a Madeiran ribeira, moving through terrain that most people never reach.
Prior canyon experience is required: at least one Level 2 canyon session before this. The terrain demands it. If you've done Level 2 and want more, this is the right next step.
The atmosphere changes here. Quieter. More remote. Less forgiving. The kind of place that earns its way in.
You've done a canyon before and you want a longer, more demanding version.
Deeper into Madeira's ribeiras: sections no tourist ever reaches.
Higher rappels, bigger jumps, more rope work. A proper day in the canyon.
Maximum 8 people. More focused, better pacing, and a different kind of day.
Meeting point is confirmed via WhatsApp after booking. It varies by group and route — Marcos will arrange this directly with you before the session.
"Great experience. Marcus is very professional and made us feel super safe all the way! No problem going for a level 4 next time."
"Great trip, best in Madeira. The guides are chilled out and very entertaining and welcome adrenaline nuts and nervous beginners. The gear is new and clean. We all went for lunch after to top off the perfect trip."
"We had an amazing time with Marcos and his team. He was patient with everyone, always making sure we were safe while still encouraging us to push our limits. Absolutely unforgettable."
At least one previous canyoning session (Level 2 or equivalent) is required before doing Level 3. The terrain demands prior experience with rope and rappel systems. If you've done canyoning elsewhere, message Marcos and he'll tell you if Level 3 is right for you.
Level 3 is approximately 3 hours of action time in the canyon, plus transport. Bring water and a snack.
Level 3 requires more coordination than a standard online booking allows. Marcos needs to understand your experience, confirm the right canyon for your group, and check conditions before locking in a date. That conversation happens over WhatsApp. Once everything is set, he sends you a secure payment link directly. No money changes hands until your spot is confirmed.
After confirming everything via WhatsApp, Marcos sends you a secure Stripe payment link. You pay online, through the same secure process as any other booking, just after the conversation rather than before.
Canyoning can be affected by rainfall. Marcos monitors conditions daily and will contact you in advance if rescheduling or a refund is needed.
